@ALinCALI22 Not good enough. #37 sux. So they pay a mid FRP to move up 5 spots and get a lottery player like Acuff? Unless Kings don’t like the top 7, it’s a hard no. OKC should add a third FRP or a young player.

Zach LaVine would fit the Michael Porter Jr. mold for Brooklyn in acquiring a good but overpaid player with draft pick compensation. The Nets should look into it. LaVine could help Brooklyn take a step in competitiveness next year without having to commit longterm to him. And of course, the trade would mainly be about securing a future first round pick from Sacramento.
Evan Sidery@esidery

The Kings will attempt to dump Zach LaVine’s expiring contract this summer once picking up his $49 million player option. Sacramento, who’s ready to embrace a full-scale rebuild, attempted to move LaVine throughout the season with little interest.

The Sacramento Kings may have found their perfect fit at No. 7.  Yaxel Lendeborg’s size, versatility, defense, and NBA-ready game make him one of the most intriguing prospects in the 2026 NBA Draft.  Sacramento could land one of the biggest steals of the draft.

@ChismisNChaos This obligation affirmed by the SC 2021 that you are referring to, was this intended to bypass locale courts?

No, I don't think it's wrong to require a warrant from a local court. But NBI's legal lever is the RA9851 Sec 17, which gives the authority to SURRENDER an accused person in the Philippines to the appropriate international court. Otherwise, why would they even put that in writing? My take, though, is yes, it would be better to get a warrant coz SC already affirmed in 2021 our obligation. But then, is that the point of my OP?

So Cayetano made his own interpretation of his power as a Chair and perceived a threat to the Senate's self preservation which he used to justify penalizing the NBI and held them in contempt, despite the fact that it's not in the rules, contrary to SC limitations and has no precendence. He did this to save Bato, who acted on is own, as a person, and not as a Senator. But who actually disrupted the session? Was it the NBI doing their job or Bato who ran to the plenary to have his ass covered using the Senate immunity? Was Bato in the plenary to begin with when it happened? He was OUTSIDE and chose to run into it to avoid the NBI. If self preservation means protecting the integrity, rules and dignity of the Senate, then a Senator who uses rhe Plenary as a hideout from a valid legal warrant is actually the one threatening its integrity. By bringing a personal legal matter to the plenary in the middle of the legislative session, he forces the Senate to choose between upholding the law or protecting a friend. #CayetanoClownery #BatoRunningMan #BatodelaRosa #CayetanovsSotto

@lmchankins @krishcoughran I disagree - See Hedo and Gerald Wallace. also, its not fair comparing player development across time with different GM's, coaches and trainers.

@krishcoughran Go back further, outside of Peja, Sacramento doesn't know how to develop young talent. They can draft talent (only franchise in the 21st century to draft multiple All-NBA point guards in Isaiah Thomas, De'aaron Fox and Tyrese.)

From the Athletic: Since their best era of basketball ended in 2006, this is the Kings’ draft history in the lottery: They’ve drafted three players who have made All-Star games (six total, three with them). They were DeMarcus Cousins, De’Aaron Fox, and Tyrese Haliburton. They traded away all three before they turned 28 years old.

@krishcoughran all three were with different GM's. I know that the owner is the common denominator. but this is a new GM - We can hope for the best this time... if it doesn't happen, then maybe I'll get to where you are now.. :D

@PreKobeEra @ChismisNChaos The icc being legitimate is not debatable. Whats debatable is adhering to the icc while bypassing local courts. You will never accept that statement while clouded by partisan politics, blinded by confirmation bias

@cKingDavid @ChismisNChaos It’s only debatable to those who delude themselves that the ICC isn’t a legitimate court. The ICC was founded to ensure that perpetrators of mass atrocities, many of whom are usually shielded by their own governments (ex. Digong), would face justice. Use your Internet wisely.

@b_ini52839 @ChismisNChaos you did not answer the question... none the less, there is no logic in having a supreme court and citizens being a lawyer here if you will just surrender on a foriegn court.

@cKingDavid @ChismisNChaos Is it required to have a warrant of arrest from the local?it did not!So what's the logic of seeking it? Philippines has an obligation to international community like ICC.Wag na gamitin ang mga walang saysay na dahilan, sumuko nalang kong walang kasalanan unless guilty nga.

@PreKobeEra @ChismisNChaos saying obliged - is debatable. what is the intelligence in rendering local courts inutile to concede jurisdiction to a foreign court??? there is no logic to that...

@ChismisNChaos so it is not wrong to require a warrant from a local court. if there is no warrant from a local court - then why didn't anyone file a case so a warrant can go out??

It's wrong to have a case filed only now coz they had the opportunity to do that during the Duterte admin. RA 9851 stated that the local authorities may dispense with the investigation if an international court is already investigating. so what's the need for a local warrant if the law says it's permissible. The constitution also said international laws are also laws of the land which means an ICC warrant, should be honored especially when the SC ruled that we should.
