Walsh University is deeply saddened to learn of the passing of Coach Jim Dennison, who led the Walsh football program from its inception in 1995 through his retirement in 2013. Coach D was a legendary coach and mentor whose legacy remains deeply woven into the fabric of Walsh U.

Jim Dennison started the Walsh football program in 1995. He created an environment that enriched athletes for 18 years. In the greatest game known to man.. He was one of the greatest men I’ve ever known. Forever grateful. Thank you for the opportunity. RIP Coach D. #PMA
