i like that ash's companions didn't all show up to the championship because it establishes that they have careers and aspirations outside of ash. he helped them kickstart / achieve their dreams and now they're out there living their best lives and continuing to work hard.

Makes some evolution available before the post game, gym leaders and elite 4 now use their appropriate types because there’s more mons available
