First user experiments with our brand-new #TomoRheoscope! The group of @1Hannis looking at meniscus tissue under torsion and compression with X-ray tomography at TOMCAT, @psich_en. Not exactly the classical rheology measurements🤣. But they worked great!

Pre-darktime upgrades continue. Our new #monochromator is in place, waiting for its crystals. BTW, it's a twin of the new @BEATSeu1 mono, made by CINEL. So here's to bright and stable, X-ray beams at @SESAME_Jordan and at @tomcat_psi @psich_en!

Summertime at @psich_en: Completed the "summer lunchtime grand slam": run up the Aare River in Würenlingen, swim across to Villigen, run to the Badi, play beach volleyball, jump in the pool, have lunch, run back to Aare, float down to PSI, coffee at Oase. 😎 Life could be worse!

#TOMCAT is getting its first pre-upgrade face lifts. Let's hope we can get everything back in place before the end of the summer shutdown. New end station 1 has touched down! 😎

Concluded my talk at the #ICTMS2022 with a not entirely serious slide on how to possibly achieve multi-projection #synchrotron #imaging with utopian next gen sources. Fun to see how this resulted in some very stimulating and engaged discussions. Behold, the "infinity synchrotron"
