@Jack_Moore7 Jones is no world beater, but right now he offers more. It’s painful watching Mac hang a lazy leg out and the opposition walk past him. On the ball he’s been dreadful too. I’d say if Jones has the game time those 2 have had he’d consistently perform better than they have

Can everyone who keeps crying about Curtis Jones not starting pack in too. If he wasn’t a local lad nobody would give a fuck, because he’s just not very good

@LFCLaurie Agreed. He’s too safe to be a match winner, you pay that money for players who are going to grab the game by the scruff and produce magic. He’s neat and tidy on the ball but not much more than that, and at times looks like a little boy against men.

I fully expect us to get Champions League next season mainly because Villa and Chelsea are shocking, but if we’re going to do a “data driven review” in the summer, I can’t see how Slot keeps his job.
The intensity is non-existent. The underlying numbers must be terrible.

@A_GymGuy Sorry what I meant was we need wingers that have the ability to do that, not do it every time. But be unpredictable, comfortable cutting in or going down the outside. You know any time CG or MS have the ball 99/100 they’re cutting inside.

@c_wright9 The thing is if you go outside then someone has to occupy the bits that our wingers occupy now by inverting a bit. You either have to have fullbacks do that.

We don’t play the Klopp transition method anymore. The issues we will have is team defending deep not giving us room to run behind and getting the balls to the likes of the wingers and Wirtz in key positions. We are gonna have to find a way around that

One thing we have to address this summer is the lack of pace. Imagine Wirtz feeding peak Mo & Sadio… I’ll be gutted to see Mo go, what a player, but time stops for no one. We have to get pace back on the wings.

So we’re down to one senior game today, as the Reserves host Clevedon AFC in the quarter-final of the Somerset FA Senior Cup.
It’s a 2pm kick-off at Bristol Road so get along and support the club as they attempt to progress in the cup against opponents from the league above.

2025 was a massive year, moving away from my family and friends, stepping completely out of comfort zone. Couldn’t have imagined just how well those 12 months would have gone. Excited for what 2026 is going to bring my way
