@mountainman_mc Just below the Robbers Roost trail. Looks like one vehicle veered into the oncoming lane. We heard it and saw the wreckage afterwards.

So evidently there was a bad wreck on Deer Creek earlier today (ahem…Saturday). For the third time this summer, it happened at Lee and Deer Creek. Two vehicles and one vehicle was T boned, five in one vehicle, and two in the other vehicle, two were sent to the hospital.

@mountainman_mc Was it that busy last winter? I remember seeing cars but not that many. And last year had better snow fall!

There currently isn’t a parking spot anywhere on the mountain from Kyle Canyon to Lee Canyon… there’s probably 30,000 people up here right now…

The price to picnic and camp in the developed recreational areas of the Spring Mountains is proposed to increase, and in some cases, significantly. Turn your phone sideways (because how do websites work?) and scroll down to Spring Mountains… fs.usda.gov/detail/htnf/al…

@mountainman_mc Can confirm, weather in the Adirondacks can be real! A beautiful mountain range, even if it is (not even) half the height of Charleston.

Evidently there are mountains in the East. 🤔This guy is definitely feeling the rush that comes from being on a mountain during inclement weather.

@mountainman_mc I’d be happy to help, particularly with the climbing access trails.

There was a town board last night. USFS said all trails sustained heavy damage and are extremely dangerous. Conditions aren't safe for either the public or the first responders that would have to rescue people. Funding for repairs is a major issue (there isn't any).

@mountainman_mc @HumboldtToiyabe In the northeast, they’d clear the trees and let the problem sort itself out. “What’s a trail?”

It appears Cathedral Rock trail needs a lot of work. I wonder when the @HumboldtToiyabe folks will begin cleaning these?

@HumboldtToiyabe The webpage links seem circular (on mobile). Is this understood that if you can access areas without using 156, 157, or 158, it’s now legal?

The Emergency Closure Order is in place for public and employee safety for the Spring Mountains National Recreation Area. The Emergency Closure Order means that all areas, roads, campgrounds, and trails are closed while damages are fully assessed. @ClarkCountyNV @GoMtCharleston
