日本製の「ウール100%フランネル」をつくり続けたい 私は、近代西洋服装史の研究していますが、この1年あまりはずっと日本でウールを織っていました 愛知県の葛利毛織（くずりけおり）の職人、上村さんは学生時代から半・分解展に来てくれていたマニアな方（写真1） 葛利毛織は現在も、とても古い織機（しょっき）を使用して布を織っています 「ションヘル織機」という名前です ションヘルは、ゆっくり優しく動く織機なので、ウール100%でも伸縮性があり、着ていてすごく楽なんです でも生産効率があまりに悪いので、量産で使い続けている工場は葛利毛織くらいです 私は上村さんと一緒に、半世紀前に日本で織っていた墨色のフランネルを復刻しました これまで一緒に、数世紀前の生地再現に取り組んでいたので、今回のフランネルは順調です いや、順調に進められる最高のものにしたんです それは、ションヘル織機を動かし続けたいから 「量産」できるフランネルなんです 私は個人で３００ｍ発注しました！ このフランネルは、私の構造や造形の研究にも適役ですし、皆さんにもお届けしたいと考えています だから歴史的な衣服をフランネルで仕立てたり、または生地で購入できるように準備を進めています ３月の【半・分解展 東京】で、私たちがつくったフランネル生地や、フランネルのコート（写真2）をご覧ください ウェブストアでも販売できるように準備を進めています

今展示で久しぶりに出したいのが、1750年代につくられたピンク色の【ローブ・ア・ラ・フランセーズ】 英国のFashion Museum Bathが所蔵していた1着で、現在は半・分解展が所蔵&修復中 この子を、1762-72年に刊行された百科全書 図版 Arts de l’habillement（服飾芸術）と並べたいのですふふふ
