Unfortunately, due to ongoing issues with my back + other joint problems, I have to take a break from school visits for a couple of months. I will then make a decision on the best way forward. Really difficult to do this as I love my job! Best wishes to you all for the term ☺️

All things ‘Galileo’ with the super Y4/Y5 at Kingshill Church School @BathWellsTrust Viviania managed to smuggle one of Galileo’s books over the border and get it printed it in a different country. But, would Galileo tell the Inquisition the Earth stood still or risk his life?

Just saw Santa on his way home after visiting the amazing @MiltonParkPri He told me about the fantastic children + staff, and how everyone made him feel so welcome😊He also wanted to wish all the amazing school staff in other schools a very well deserved Xmas break🌲🎅@ExtendLAN

Thanks St Mary’s @Lighthouse_MAT ‘Sid the ARP Warden visited Y5/6. We talked about how thousands of children were evacuated to the countryside + we had fun imagining we were on the train waving goodbye. It was a very informative morning brought to life by an amazing character’😊

A great morning with Y2 @schoolashcombe - all 3 classes were fantastic to learn alongside! We travelled back to London in the 1600s and the children acted out some of the main characters and events of the time. Super acting, great singing and lots of laughter!😊@kaleidoscopemat

Thx St Teresa’s☺️ ‘What an amazing, adaptive, engaging+inclusive workshop! Harry brought the Victorians to life in this workshop+the children all participated, were engaged, learnt new things+most importantly, had a fantastic time! A morning full of smiles, laughter and learning’

My first visit to St Teresa’s Catholic Primary with the fantastic Y5s. We acted out the life and achievements of Brunel. We saw him help design The Thames Tunnel with his Dad. Then some amazing ships, railways, tunnels + finally a competition for a new Bridge near Bristol 🎩 😊

Sid the ARP Warden had a fantastic time with the amazing Y5/Y6 class at St Mary’s CE Primary 👍@Lighthouse_MAT We travelled back to WW2 for the blackout, got evacuated to the countryside, sang, marched, escaped to the underground shelters and even danced ‘The Lambeth Walk!’ 😊

Back to The Stone Age with the fantastic Y3 from Grove Jnrs @WhiteoakNailsea 😁 We became hunters + gatherers, looked at the benefits of ‘fire’, trapped a Woolly Mammoth, built a home made of bones + skins + were brilliant at acting out ‘Stone Age Boy’ 🦣 🦴 🐻 @Lighthouse_MAT

Another amazing visit to to the fantastic St John and St Francis Church School @BathWellsTrust Jethro was so glad to hear they built London again after the great fire of 1666. He was also very impressed with the super acting and singing from all the Y2s - thank you ☺️ 🔥 🧀 🍷

Today we had a visit from Jethro. He was Samuel Peeps’ servant who time travelled to us from 1666! He read us extracts from Samuel Peeps’ diary and told us all about The Great Fire of London🔥🇬🇧🍞👑📔

A fantastic time with Y1 at St John+St Francis Church School😊@BathWellsTrust We looked at lots of ‘Early Flight’ attempts that used feathers, kites, balloons+gliders. We then acted out the life of The Wright Brothers who went from fixing bicycles to building + flying a plane🚲✈️

A wonderful time with Y2 at Churchill Primary. The children looked amazing in their 1666 outfits! We built a house of wood and straw, then went with Mr Pepys to see the Mayor, Sir Thomas Bloodworth but he didn’t help so we asked King Charles 2nd and The Duke of York 🔥🧀 🍷🐀
