@belladonnafeli he's always wanted to be trueborn but trueborn stark. The books do allude to him being trueborn how that would work ask GRRM and his fantasy laws. But I honestly care more about emotional side finding out he isn't motherless and that both his parents wanted great things for him.

he is rhaegar’s son but NOT trueborn. the only way he can become a targaryen is by legitimisation (whether done by himself or someone else), which i think is unlikely (see: “i have a name, your grace” in adwd jon I)
