Bryan Alvarez has confirmed that Kingston and Woods decided to leave WWE after being asked to restructure their deals: “We can also confirm that in the case of New Day, it was their decision to leave based on what TKO was offering for a new deal. To be specific, New Day’s deals were not up. They were asked to restructure to TKO deals, they didn’t like the deals, so they were then granted their release.” (@WONF4W)

@MovieTankRob @TedFromThePWO Yes it was wasted. When has he said his dream is to work in WWE? He turned down WWE in 2021 and turned down being on tough enough when he was younger so I don't see that being true unless he said it on behalf of WWE while under WWE Contract.

Was it wasted? His dream was to work in WWE. He was on TV that whole year, maybe he did t make Mania but neither did Iyo Sky or Asuka that year. He worked with the Samoan clan and friends he had known for years in Tama and Tonga Loa, got to face Former World Champs in Damien and Randy and was in a long winded but meaningful feud the whole time. He helped get Jacob over too. That's far from a wasted year. If you mean he was hired to get over himself and be the star... He wasn't. He was hired to help WWE get talent over in that year... He helped get. Jacob - Bona fide main eventer Talla/Hikuleo Tama Tonga in particular to the position where is is now the breakout star of the MFT. That's a good return for a year.

The WWE really hired Jeff Cobb, wasted a year of his life, then fired him. There’s no way future free agents don’t take stuff like this into consideration
