Is CAEPCon Right for Small Providers? Nearly 40 percent of CAEP accredited providers are considered small with less than 50 completers a year, some less than 10 completers per year. Being a small provider means facing unique challenges. CAEPCon allows individuals from small schools to network with their peers, from small and large providers and make connections. CAEP staff will be hosting virtual office hours this summer to work directly with providers. These informal, “come and go sessions”, allow you to join at your convenience to ask questions and receive guidance on submitting the Self Study Report, Addendum, or Rejoinder. There is not a set agenda or training for these small group sessions, they are simply to answer questions and have the opportunity to meet directly with CAEP staff. We are currently seeking dedicated professionals to serve as volunteers to support educator preparation accreditation. As part of the peer-review process, volunteers are the backbone of CAEP Accreditation, helping to ensure quality educator preparation and strengthen outcomes for P-12 learners. All training is done between June 1st and August 15th. Reviewer training is asynchronous, with a three-hour meeting that you may schedule between July 13th and July 24th. If you are passionate about advancing excellence in educator preparation through evidence-based accreditation and continuous improvement, we invite you to apply. The 2026 EPP Annual Accreditation Report (Annual Report) is due by 11:59 EDT today, April 30, 2026.  All EPPs, regardless of accreditation status, are required to submit Annual Reports. Lindenwood University is one of five educator preparation providers in Missouri to participate in the inaugural Partnerships for Quality Mentoring Community of Practice. The statewide initiative focuses on strengthening mentoring and clinical experiences for teacher candidates across Missouri. The Oklahoma Office of Educational Quality and Accountability has signed a new partnership agreement with CAEP. The state partnership agreement outlines the process providers follow when pursuing CAEP accreditation in the state. The agreement also allows department staff to participate in the CAEP accreditation process.
