Installed a pair of @tonerider Rebel 90s in my Epiphone Les Paul, along with some new pots, and it sounds HUGE now. Proper beefy but without the blunted high-end that humbuckers can have.

Spent an embarrassingly long time trying to figure out why my sound had stopped working on my Linux system (Arxch btw). Turns out yesterday I unplugged my speakers because I needed somewhere to plug a fan in 😞

got an isolated power supply for my guitar pedals and it’s shocking how much less background noise there is now – so little that I don’t even need my noise gate any more

@rustlang That’s not to denigrate Lego, Lego’s great, you can make amazing things with it, and it’s so much easier to build with, and honestly just plain fun.

Been writing some @rustlang lately and how it feels compared to JavaScript, which I’m much more familiar with, is hard to describe. It’s like … building a machine from custom metal parts, where everything has to fit so precisely. JavaScript is like using Lego.
