Flying internationally as a family for the first time @FlyAirNZ makes it so unfriendly, and next to impossible to plan. Details in 🧵.

It was a total money grab, but a fullish plane. We couldn’t be put in those seats since others (not travelling with kids) took them. Our seats were broken, the arm rests didn’t go up, and there wasn’t a bassinet. It’s pretty bad for a family.

I get assigned seating is a money grab now but as a family this is very hostile treatment. Guess we’ll just have to see what happens at the airport.

@FlyAirNZ They told me to buy a bassinet for the plane and take it with me on holiday. They can’t change tickets or on their own system and charge (175$ per seat) per leg for families wishing to reserve it and have no guarantee.
