@MatthewJTravis_ This is pretty sweet! You might find this interesting too - I made a set of jerseys for Travis a few years ago that included his Jennings one.

Nick Saban on Alabama’s loss to FSU: “For me, and a lot of Alabama fans, the disappointment is that Florida State dominated the line of scrimmage on both sides of the ball.”

With only 16 days until @AlabamaFTBL starts the 2025 season, today we remember Paul Ott Carruth who came to Alabama as a quarterback but shifted to halfback his sophomore season under Paul “Bear” Bryant in 1981. Hailing from Hattiesburg, Miss., he signed with Alabama in 1980 as a quarterback, but became a running back in Bryant’s final two years (1981-82). After redshirting in 1983 under new head coach Ray Perkins, Carruth found himself thrust into a pivotal role his senior year after a knee injury to Kerry Goode in the first game against Boston College. With Goode lost for the season, Perkins turned to Carruth to shoulder the ground attack. He rushed for 782 yards and eight touchdowns, while also catching 18 passes for 224 yards and three more touchdowns. He earned Most Valuable Player honors in the 1985 Senior Bowl. After playing one season in the USFL with the Birmingham Stallions, Carruth played three years with the Green Bay Packers and one with the Kansas City Chiefs.
