The education centres we support through our local partner are a hive of activity every day. From early morning to evening, classrooms buzz with learning — children taking their first steps in education alongside students preparing for their final exams.

Our local partner PRDS works closely with parents & guardians to ensure they are actively involved in their children’s education. Regular parent-teacher meetings are held & teachers also carry out home. Ensuring every child receives the support they need at school and at home.

It's a busy period for all the Class 10 students in the centres we support through our local partner PRDS. All students are taking preparatory exams before sitting their main school exams later this month. They will then sit their main board exams in February.

Our big annual quiz will take place on Friday, November 21st, in Revels Rathfarnham Village. Join us for what's always a great night, with many prizes to be won. Entry is €10 per person, with all funds raised going directly to the education projects we support.

A meal, a smile, a reason to come back tomorrow. Lunchtime is always full of smiles for the pre-schoolers in our partner PRDS centres. Each year, we support 82,000 nutritious meals; they not only feed children but also encourage regular attendance from an early age.

Students at our partner PRDS centres celebrated Teacher’s Day on Friday. They organised the entire programme—filled with dance, poetry, and drama—to thank their teachers for their dedication. A beautiful show of respect and creativity.

🌱 With our partner Panikhali Rural Development Society, 358 children are taking their first steps in education this year. At PRDS’s three centres, learning the basics is made fun and interactive—where games and lessons go hand in hand to spark a love for learning.

Through our local partner PRDS we support the operation of three education centres in the communities where they work. Each day more than 1000 students pass through the doors of the three centres. From early morning until late in the evening the centres are a hive of activity.

“For many PRDS students, this is their first time using a computer. At our local partner PRDS’s centres, Classes 9 & 10 learn hardware & software skills from a dedicated trainer. Giving them tools for future studies and careers.”

Since 2010, Calcutta Connect has supported thousands of older students through sponsorships. By covering costs in the final years of school, we help them stay in education, complete exams, and move on to higher studies. Each year, 250 students benefit through our partner PRDS.

Every day, 358 pre-school children receive a nutritious lunch after completing their classes. The meal is an incentive to attend school from an early age and develop the habit of regular attendance. The lunch is prepared by our local partners' school cooks in each centre.

Every child’s future starts with a teacher. With our local partner PRDS, 62 staff members guide students from their first preschool steps to Class 10 exams—helping them build brighter futures. We're fortunate to have such a dedicated team working tirelessly to educate.

In 2017, 110 students were enrolled at our partner school in rural West Bengal. Today, 1,328 people are part of education, skills training, and health programmes through PRDS. Your support is changing lives every year.

We want to extend a heartfelt thank you to everyone who joined us for our table quiz last Friday. The event was a great success & well attended, as always We raised a total of €2,320, which will go directly to supporting education projects. Thank you once again for your support
