I am once again forced to confront my beef with the Behavioral Risk Factor Surveillance System (BRFSS), specifically how they measure gender/sex! And will be complaining about that in this thread! I'll mainly reference the 2022 wave since that's the most recent available data. 1/

I'm curious to look at this in combination with BIRTHSEX, which would limit the # of people but still be interesting. It's clear that people of various genders were assigned M/F by BRFSS, that cis people were mysteriously re-coded, & that validity/reliability are absent. 19/
