@VMwhatuptho @TheNBABase Dude was older and less athletic. Getting drafted at 23 and playing your first NBA game at 24 is a huge difference when you’ve always been the oldest and biggest for the previous 6-7 years of playing ball.

Draymond Green on why Tyler Hansbrough’s game didn't translate to the NBA after being "unstoppable" in college “He was really good on those UNC teams. I had the opportunity to play against him, he was unstoppable. They went to him every time; he was extremely strong. Tyler Hansbrough, he was relentless and in college, that relentless type of attitude works. In the NBA, you kind of got to have a little more skill and I just don’t think Tyler Hansbrough had the skill. He also didn’t have the athleticism that the bigs had that he was going up against. And so in turn, I just don’t think it translated as well. Don’t get me wrong, Tyler Hansbrough still had a respectable NBA career, It just didn’t turn out to be who he was at North Carolina. No one in the NBA was just going to throw Tyler Hansbrough the ball and say, ‘Go get us a bucket.’ It wasn’t fluid enough, it was too rugged. It was, ‘Ah, I’m going to go through you.’ Just ultimately, he didn’t live up to what he was in college and maybe people were expecting from him. But in this NBA, you have to play a role. Unless you’re Steph Curry or LeBron James, you must play a role and that’s kind of what happened.” (Via @DraymondShow )

@Que196_ @wynetwork @DwyaneWade @patbev21 Dwade is 7.5 years older than Harden. Those aren’t relative comparisons and there were injuries. If folks wanna say Harden is a better offensive player. Cool. Harden has always been a below average defender. Wade was always elite.

@callme_ABO @wynetwork @DwyaneWade @patbev21 Wade played as the first option like the first six seasons until LeBron joined. After that he slowed down like 3-4years after Harden still playing a high level this late in his career.

Dwyane Wade responds to Pat Bev saying James Harden is better than him 😳 “I don’t understand how you can have a conversation about me and state facts when you’re not as good as me… Pat, where is your facts to say that someone is better?… don’t you ever fix your mouth to say somebody is better than me when you wasn’t better than me. You can’t do that.”

@ShehanJeyarajah This is a funny but some truth in it take. I’ve been in Talent Acquisition 9 years. I’ve maybe read 20 cover letters. I just look at resumes.

Sometimes it’s as simple as, it’s a job application and you declined to write a cover letter. Maybe your resume is amazing enough to carry you, but in the case it’s not, you immediately put yourself behind the 8-ball.

Think there’s a lot of truth to this. Turned down four chances to work out in front of NFL scouts (Senior Bowl, Big 12, Shrine Bowl, Combine). Chose what teams he would meet with. Didn’t test at all. They just totally misread his stock.

Shedeur Sanders falling to QB6 — at best — and into the last day of the draft seems to me to be the league repudiating how he and those around him handled the draft process.

@philosospeedy @upholdreality @Fly_Sistah So if the cost of a good exported is $10 with a 21% tariff. The price for the importer to China is $10.21. How does Trump math equal a “reciprocal” tariff of 100%?

Explain that to China: One year ago, in April 2024, China's tariffs on U.S. goods were approximately 21%, covering about 58.3% of U.S. exports to China, valued at roughly $90 billion based on 2017 import levels. These tariffs had been in place since February 2020, following the U.S.-China trade war that began in 2018. Specific tariffs varied by product; for example, agricultural goods like soybeans faced targeted retaliatory tariffs, some as high as 25%, imposed earlier in 2018. China's Finance Ministry also adjusted tariffs on certain U.S. agricultural and energy products, with rates ranging from 10% to 15% on items like chicken, pork, soybeans, and coal by early 2024.

@callme_ABO @Ze_Germans_31B @FLVoiceNews @GregAbbott_TX Historically, before the establishment of modern tax systems, communities often relied on charitable contributions and local fundraising to support schools and city services. In many cases, individuals and local businesses would donate money, goods, or services to fund these.

JUST IN: Gov. Ron DeSantis on ending property taxes statewide "You buy a home, you buy land... and then, you've been taxed many times [on that]... is it your property, or not? Just for being on your property, you've got to write a check to the government every year?" "A lot of people can't afford that. That's a big issue. We're going to be looking at ways to bring people relief from that."

Rap and Hiphop didn’t form from dis battle culture. It formed from Party Dance culture… The battle culture was a mutation alongside moving the crowd. A MC never wanted you to be a wallflower, they wanted movement or the DJ would shut you off. Harlem Bronx Brooklyn wanted a better time because NYC was delivering bullsht. The battle dis thing was a side evolution tumor. Started benign then ignorance made it malignant in the 90s. Revisionist history on culture too often is measured by scattered exceptions as opposed to the massive documented ‘rule’
