When an election in a college town of 16,700 produces 2,248 votes for one direction and 1,773 for another, the math is simple but the message is not. If nearly half the people you serve are already against your plans, the system is showing its cracks. Democracy cannot keep pretending that a slim win equals a shared mandate. At some point, the way we choose leaders needs an upgrade.

@Investingcom @thereal__jaime Imagine if LNG plants in the region were put out of commission. That would be very bad because no helium means no chips, and no chips means no NVIDIA.

We need to begin training deep-water platform personnel, either by establishing a local institution capable of accrediting technicians or by sending them abroad for specialized training. The lead time for this spans two to four years. While some in-plant training can be accommodated, all personnel must have their competency levels checked and verified before being deployed to deep-water rigs for weeks or months—especially in locations where helicopter transport is unavailable.

@Deee_luul @YasinnHashi Ethiopia’s push to influence maritime governance, despite having no port and acting as a regional bully, makes the situation look outright absurd.

Ethiopia’s Foreign Ministry is hosting a dialogue on governance in the Red Sea and Gulf of Aden❗️ keep in mind this is a landlocked country discussing seas it doesn’t even border. This is the kind of madness we’re dealing with in the Horn of Africa 😬

Mehdi Hasan’s early UK career was in mainstream broadcast production, not full-time conservative media. Confirmed (per Wikipedia, his bios, and self-account in Press Gazette interview): He was deputy executive producer on Sky News’ Sunrise (2000s; Sky is Murdoch-owned, often right-leaning). He proactively sought and did a 2-week internship at The Spectator (conservative magazine, then edited by Boris Johnson) after an Oxford debate—helping with Christmas cards; Johnson approved it after Hasan joked in his speech. This is reported consistently across CJR, Daily Mail summaries, and Hasan’s own recollections; no disputes. He never held a staff role at conservative outlets. Post-internship, he shifted left: senior politics editor at New Statesman (2009), Channel 4 editor, HuffPost UK political director. No confirmed ties to US conservative media. His US/Middle East timeline (confirmed): Al Jazeera English presenter (2012–; Qatar-funded, covers ME extensively), Intercept columnist/podcaster (2017+), MSNBC host (2021–23), now Guardian columnist and Zeteo founder (progressive/left-leaning). Early broadcast roles were neutral; later identity aligns with progressive journalism. All facts cross-verified from primary bios/interviews; no major reported disputes.

@MarioNawfal @hodgetwins Tucker is 💯 correct. We owe Israel nothing. We would not do this for any other country, let alone an abusive and unappreciative one. Those are US taxpayer funds. “Not one more dollar or jet or missile or ammo…”

🚨🇺🇸🇮🇱 BREAKING: Tucker calls for a complete end to all U.S. military and economic aid to Israel: "Not one more dollar. Not one more fighter jet or bomb or missile defense system or ammunition of any kind. Because Israel is aggressively acting against our interest." He's careful to say this isn't about treating Israel as an enemy. It's about treating them like every other country: an ally with restrictions, reservations, and red lines. He wants a "healthy conventional relationship where Israel can pay its own bills and fund its own military." This is the most significant statement any major right-wing media figure has made about the U.S.-Israel relationship in decades. Source: @TCNetwork

It looks like Pakistan mediation is exposing further rift between Saudi Arabia and UAE. Rather than bringing GCC into unity the war is tearing apart.

@AlfawazHamd @vali_nasr The entire framing ignores that China was the primary broker of the Iran-KSA normalization. Any analysis of who won or lost regionally that omits China’s strategic gains is fundamentally incomplete.

@vali_nasr You are partially right from the get go, Iran chose not to target KSA as much as UAE thinking of their link with Israel , also Saudis benefited from the Pakistani role while India seems one of relative losers, Oman was edged out for this accords. In any way KSA has wider circle 1
