So I watched Matt Cooper's "Path to Power" podcast today for the first time since Ivan Yates' departure. I did this out of curiosity because I saw Leo Varadkar was on it. Leo isn't exactly a conservative foil to Matt's woke nonsense, so I was intrigued to watch their dynamic together on screen. They both spoke about Enoch Powell's famous "Rivers of Blood" speech. And they went onto allude to the infamous line in this speech about the "Black man having the whip hand over the white man." What neither of these two charlatans actually told their viewership was that this quote was said in the context of what a constituent had expressed to Powell as his MP. I find it awfully Orwellian that people like Cooper and Varadkar, who are often so willing to talk about the ills of misinformation from individuals online are actually so ready and willing to perpetrate it themselves on much larger platforms. And I would add that if Varadkar had actually expressed the views of the membership that elected him (like Powell did for his constituent) we would not be seeing the same cost of living crisis, housing shortage or immigration explosion that Ireland is currently being plagued by. #HowIrelandWorks
