while we’re talking about gimp slander i remember like two years ago somebody was talking shit about gimp and said “try making a perfect circle in gimp and send a video of you doing it” as a ‘gotcha’ of why its bad when thats literally one of the easiest things to do in gimp lmao

@camations_ You can't force people to like a relatively uncomfortable & unintuitive interface when there are multiple alternatives that do just about the same tasks but with a lot more intuitiveness & familiarity

I feel validated that people hate GIMP now. Like 10 years ago in the 2010s everybody would recommend it like it's the best software ever, but when I tried it I found the UI insanely shit & confusing to work with. I quickly went back to paint .net and I still use it to this day.

people who complain about the ui just dont wanna bother actually spending more than 10 minutes learning it
i PROMISE it is not that hard guys. if you could learn how to use much newer programs with way more features, then you can learn to use an old as hell program like gimp
