Our report on the NGO-Charity complex is now live! Link to the press release below. This is the culmination of several long months of research into the third sector. We have only scratched the surface but hope that this can be the beginning for much productive work to follow.

Of course, these are just CoS and don’t necessarily mean visas were assigned. But it is troubling that this was able to happen for so long without many checks. Some of these are single-year events while others show persistence. It’s time for the Home Office to do their job.

We did restrict ourselves to single-premises entities to make analysis easier, but adding chains would be illuminating and we may do that in future. The picture painted here is troubling enough.

An analysis of single-premises restaurants and takeaways reveals the concentration of certificates of sponsorship generated by the food industry during the Boriswave. A central estimate shows over 14,000 certificates of sponsorship issued by such entities in that time.

This is an interesting report, particularly in light of Amnesty's outrage at grassroots gender critical organisation. How ever a country chooses to enable & regulate voluntary action it should do it fairly. But a Govt in power will always want to funnel resources & influence to the ones that brung 'em.

How could a single street drive this much migration? How often is this repeated? We will do some more street-by-street analysis to expose how rotten the immigration system has been in the last 5 years. It is a mistake we need to correct immediately!

The 2021-2023 occupational SOC codes are illuminating. We really needed those chefs and marketing associate professionals from abroad! Not enough of those at home.

Analysis shows that 319 confirmed businesses with a Food Standards Agency rating of two or lower generated certificates of sponsorship for Skilled Worker visas between 2021-2025. Between them, they generated at least 1100 CoS. Below is a constituency-level heatmap.

The system requires wholesale reform. Enforcement appears negligible. A high-trust, heavy friction system that existed prior is now a virtual free-for-all for “skilled worker” visas. We can afford to be selective with immigration. Why aren’t we?

There has been an explosion in the number of entities entitled to generate certificates of sponsorship. Why? We have effectively created a devolved immigration system. Gaining a sponsorship licence involves filling out a form and paying £611 if you are a small business.
