Oil price shock thoughts I posted to facebook this morning. Sorry for screenshots but it’s the easiest way to share if you’re interested. We must act together to cushion the impact & keep making changes that reduce our long term reliance on fossil fuels. facebook.com/share/p/1AuPVx…

@friffie57 Yes! I eventually realised that owning a business stressed me and made me sick. When the business was gone & my outlook/opinions changed I became a much happier person. In many many ways, my life is better now than it ever was.

Not long after I went on welfare, a friend asked me out to breakfast to celebrate my b’day. She’d a good job & I was broke. I got cheapest thing on menu. 1/2 way thru the meal she said we’d split the bill. The rest of the meal I was in a state of distress trying to work out costs

We asked Cameron Douglas MS for his first impressions when tasting through the lineup for the Hawke’s Bay Chardonnay Collection 2024 - and his verdict was clear: “The 2024 vintage has produced Chardonnays of remarkable precision, purity, and balance. Each wine spoke strongly of its place - from the brightness of the coastal vineyards to the layered richness of inland sites. Hawke’s Bay continues to define what world-class Chardonnay means for Aotearoa.” #HawkesBayWine #HBChardonnayCollection #Vintage24 #GreatWineCapitals #NZWine @CamDouglasMS @CraggyRange @SmithandSheth

The Denniston Plateau is a rare stronghold of wild nature in Aotearoa – a rugged landscape where ecosystems remain largely intact and scientists continue to uncover extraordinary species, like the Avatar moth, found nowhere else on Earth.  That’s why ecologists and campaigners are calling for Denniston to be protected as a scientific reserve – to safeguard this extraordinary ecosystem for future generations.  Because once it’s mined, it’s gone forever.  Denniston is worth more for what we can LEARN from it than what we can TAKE from it.    🎥 Watch the 15-minute documentary, ‘Stand Up for Nature’, and see why Denniston is too precious to mine.     🙏 Big thanks to @marlonwilliamssings and @mouseyindahousey for musical contributions.  youtu.be/g1FJFdlNj_k  #DennistonScientificReserve #StopTheFastTrack #KiwiNotCoal #SaveDenniston #SaveConservationLand #ClimateCrisis
