I have a 34 yr old son who makes over $250k per year. I have a 37 yr old daughter who struggles to pay her rent and feed herself. They both travelled the world. I haven’t been outside of North America. My father bought the family home for $18,000. When he retired, he was earning $65k. He wasn’t a boomer. He worked hard and got promotions despite his grade 8 education. Yet still, his annual income was triple the price he paid for his home as the years passed. Those days are gone for over 99% of us. When he was starting out he and my mother lived in a rat infested house with an outhouse in the backyard. He collected bottles from ditches on the weekends to help pay for his hunting and fishing gear which put meat on the table for us for years. When I moved out at 19 yrs old, I had never eaten a steak dinner at home. We had never had a meal delivered to our house. Our paths aren’t laid out for us. We all do what we can, but some do better than others. Stop your whining and do what you can.
