We handed over £10,000 to the incredible team at @Adapt_Oxford money raised by some amazing lads in our M.A.T.E community. Meeting so many lads face-to-face, some who’d come through our Facebook group, guys now living clean in their dry houses and genuinely trying to turn their lives around... it hit me hard. We're literally saving lives together, Adapt & M.A.T.E.S. All the chats, the support, the posts on social media, the podcast, the AMAZING work Adapt do – seeing it play out in the real world felt surreal. This is what it's all about. At M.A.T.E, we are a community that supports men, we see the wider picture and recognise others within our sector and the incredible work they do. Regular occurrence on endell street between shorts gardens and betterton street, wc2 @limebike @CamdenCouncil these are resident bays and they block the path, it isnt safe. We get fined if we park in the wrong bay, think it’s time we start to look at this for @limebike

400 days of zero alcohol. I will always love a pint and still think of having one but the difference is, I don’t! No zero alcohol drinks, check food to make sure no alcohol. Zero alcohol = no taste for it! Feel absolutely amazing #sober #RecoveryPosse

@CollinsChime9 In my opinion, you have to be ready and want to do it. It likes giving up any other addiction, if u do it for saving money, because you’ve been told to do it etc, it will never work imo, u have to want to stop

@CollinsChime9 Looking after and watching my father in law die, shingles, frozen shoulder, wife undergoing investigations currently and it would be so easy to reach for a pint and drink it but what good am I to anyone.

@CollinsChime9 Aa talks about a higher power but that has to be whatever u want it to be and no one can tell u what it is. Mine was routine. I got into a proper routine and I stick by it now. I deviate and it becomes hard. This year I have had a number of things thrown at me.

@CollinsChime9 I made up my mind when I got lost on the way home pissed, phoned my wife and said that’s it. The next day I went to my first aa meeting. Developed the mindset I was first to put a drink to my mouth, I have to be the first not to put a drink to my mouth.
