Colin Simmons told us this AM that he was able to move his mom from DFW to Austin last year. His younger brother, Clayton (11), has autism and Simmons said there are better resources available for him here. That was his “why” for years. Simmons is contemplating his next one.

Everyone’s entitled to their opinions/experience. But disrespecting BG & labeling my teammates “renegades” doesn’t sit well with me. The part that never made sense to me was acting like everything had to change in one of the most successful non-Power 5 programs in the country (drug situation aside).
A lot of great people help build that program to get to that point and helped a ton of kids. Just because that was different than your previous “utopian culture” doesn’t make us renegades. Things don’t work out - that’s football. No need to disrespect a community & bunch of 18-21 year olds.
2 conference championships & 3 bowl wins is pretty damn good for a bunch of renegades. I’ll always have a lot of love for BG & WKU ❤️

@AltitudeSR @BThomas0518 Totally agree some of what I saw was uncalled for from our fanbase. Not denying that. However, to essentially make fun of a population of people because you presume them to be not smart enough to keep up with your “10/10” press conference is uncalled for too.

All I can say is wow. I’ve actually always been a Mike Sanford fan. He did a lot for the community while he was here, and I got to work with him personally on a lot of those things. @BThomas0518 Sanford basically insulted the intelligence of the BG community and honestly Kentuckians, essentially insinuated he was left with a renegade program full of pot smokers, etc. All on the air with @AltitudeSR. The WKU and BG community reacted, so they deleted the video

Because Louisville is a city 1000% prepared for professional sports. Proven by the successes of teams like LouCity and Racing Lou. They’ve been fighting for an NBA team for years, but maybe they should shift focus to @WNBA. Women’s bball history is deep in KY…UofL, WKU, UK, etc.

Accountability is a must in the new landscape of college athletics. If students-athletes want to get paid, they must be held to different standard. They are now employees, and should be treated as such. Can’t have it both ways. Good for @DeionSanders implementing this.

Love this from Deion Sanders and the Colorado football program! You are now being paid like pros. You will be held to pro-standards. College football is no longer an amateur sport. If I am being completely honest, it stopped being an amateur sport a long time ago. List of expectations, and fines with dollar amounts for violations! It’s time to grow up fast boys!

Not sure it’s fair to say the fans have accepted mediocrity, but this is a crazy stat to digest. WKU should be dominating CUSA in its current state.

One more depressing stat. WKU hasn’t had a 🏀 CUSA winning record since 2022. Just let that soak in some. Our fan base has accepted mediocrity in every sport now.

Injuries aside, it’s inexcusable to lose as many games as we have by double digits to teams like SHSU, NMSU, Kennesaw St., etc. This is not even close to the standard we should have as a program.

As a die hard WKU fan, it’s hard for me to see a program like Miami (OH) u defeated in basketball while our historic program limps its way through the season. No disrespect to the Red Hawks, I’m happy for them. But WKU has every reason to be in this realm of success each season.
