Old friends don't know who I am now and new friends don't know who I used to be. It's strange because nobody knows the full picture of me anymore. I carry both version alone, the person I was and the person I'm becoming with no one who has seen the whole journey from start to where I'm standing now.

Jude warned that before Jesus returns, people would creep into the Church unnoticed and twist grace into permission to live however we want. But biblical grace is not cover-up grace. It’s empowering grace. Yes, grace forgives us. But grace also gives us the power to live differently. Before Christ, we could not live the life God called us to. But through His grace, we are empowered to walk in holiness, obedience, and godliness. God never intended grace to excuse sin. He gave grace to transform us. This matters deeply in the days we’re living in. We don’t prepare for Christ’s return by lowering the standard. We prepare by allowing His grace to change us from the inside out. It is Romans 7:14-25 for anyone curious. Paul describes the internal war with sin perfectly: “I do not understand what I do. For what I want to do I do not do, but what I hate I do… For I have the desire to do what is good, but I cannot carry it out. … What a wretched man I am! Who will rescue me from this body that is subject to death?” (NIV). He explains the sinful nature (flesh) still at work even when the mind agrees with God’s law—doing the very things we don’t want, because sin “living in me” hijacks us. It ends with hope: thanks to Jesus Christ, delivering us from this body of death while we still battle in the flesh. Theo Von recently echoed this raw honesty—struggling with old habits, pain, and wanting change but feeling stuck in the same patterns. It hits because it’s universal: the frustration of knowing better yet repeating what harms us. Paul’s point isn’t defeat—it’s that self-effort fails; grace through Christ wins the war. Many relate deeply to that tension between desire and action.

Is anyone else just "done"? Over it? Checked out? A ton of people are quietly tapping out—finger off the pulse, zero fcks left. The 24/7 outrage machine, algorithmic rage-bait, and endless doom loop burned everyone out. What started as "staying informed" became toxic addiction to drama that rarely changes anything real. Why now? Information overload hit critical mass. Polarization turned every issue into a team sport where nuance dies. Brains aren't wired for this volume of negativity; we adapt by detaching (psych call it "compassion fatigue" or "psychic numbing"). Post-pandemic + economic grind + AI-amplified noise accelerated it. Is it a good sign? Often yes. Checking out from the spectacle can mean reclaiming attention for your actual life—family, skills, local reality, building shit. The "pulse" was mostly manufactured hype anyway. Selective ignorance isn't apathy; it's sanity preservation. Stay engaged where it matters, ignore the rest. The world keeps spinning.

I used to think my dad just had a weird habit. Every night, no matter how late it was, he’d check if I was asleep. Like actually come into my room, stand there for a second, then leave. I remember pretending to sleep sometimes just to see how long he’d stay. Sometimes he’d fix my blanket, sometimes he’d just sigh and walk out. As I got older, I thought it was kinda annoying. Like… why are you still doing that? One night I finally asked him. He just shrugged and said, “Just checking.” Years later, my mom told me the real reason. When I was a baby, I got really sick out of nowhere. Stopped breathing in my sleep. They barely made it to the hospital in time. After that, he never fully trusted “quiet.” So every night, for years… he just needed to see my chest rise at least once before he could relax. 🥹

“Being married to your true partner and having a good marriage is a superpower in life. Where it’s like you feel like every problem can be beaten because there’s two of you… If I have a problem she has a problem, if she has a problem I have a problem and we tackle it together.
