Both sides just dont understand Gojo (or his afterlife scene) at all.
Nanami’s comments arent him just hating on Gojo its Nanami reflecting on how Gojo portrayed himself. Flippant, arrogant and egotistical.
Hell Geto agreeing with him was because Gojo after the incident with Toji was imperceptible to Geto. He used to be able to understand Gojo, and thats what culminated in their lovers spat outside KFC.
Gojo himself acknowledges that while yes he cared for those he wanted to protect, ultimately he put his effort into trying to prove to Sukuna that he understand him. Thats why Gojo failed and why Yuji succeeded. Gojo “got lost in the sauce”, with the sauce here being the chip on his shoulder from being the strongest.
Nanami was being honest with Gojo, and he’s right. He wielded Jujutsu for his own satisfaction and we see that in the fight that killed him.
Yuji even comments during the fight “Did he forget about Fushiguro” because Gojo fought to prove his strength to Sukuna not to save Megumi.
We see this with all of the “strongest” archetype of characters in the series. Except Yuji and Yuta who are meant to subvert it.
Gojo: Gains satisfaction from Jujutsu and wanted to prove himself to Sukuna
Kashimo: Gains satisfaction from fighting and wanted to prove himself to Sukuna.
Sukuna: Gains satisfaction from fighting and wanted to prove himself right.
On the other side:
Yuji: Fights to protect others.
Yuta: Fights to protect others (explicitly said to gain no satisfaction from fighting).
If anything Nanami’s comments are the best panel surrounding Gojo’s character because it epitomises where he went wrong.
Also the reason everyone appears to Gojo as when they were young was because thats when he “drew the line the sand”, when he stopped connecting to others.
