#BREAKING We are currently investigating an incident where an unruly crowd formed outside a resort property in the 3600 block South Las Vegas Boulevard. A large crowd formed due to a performance that eventually began to disturb the flow of traffic. Officers contacted the crowd and attempted to take multiple individuals into custody. At some point, an officer was struck by an item thrown by an individual. Eleven people have been arrested at this time. Due to the nature of the incident, multiple area commands responded to assist, and the matter has come to a peaceful resolution. Vehicle and pedestrian traffic have returned to normal. A noise nuisance has been outside Cromwell for at least an hour. The brightness in the video didn't work well, but it proves the point. This can be heard through most of the front pit and slots. Strip enforcement of the basics is nonexistent.

@VitalVegas Gives vibes of MGM Grand. Those colors don’t look good in Bellagio - especially next to the tile floors in cream & green, but MGM obviously doesn’t consider thing like that, or if it matches the drapes. :)

Top secret meeting this past week between F1, LVCVA and downtown casinos (plus Strat, Downtown Grand a no-show) went well after a contentious start. Opening statement from Golden Nugget, “Occupancy was 45%. We haven’t seen that low in two decades.” Result: Ingenious idea for addressing financial harm caused by F1 last year (think additive, not competitive) and deftly avoids downtown casinos from being forced to publicly criticize F1. More to come.
