2 is incorrect. It will be more difficult to penetrate the North because he has stood on toes. Also the North political alignment doesn’t need party processes, it just needs an order and alignment which Tinubu doesn’t currently possess. The dirty fight is in the South.

If ADC gives their ticket to AA and not Obi/Kwankwaso: 1. Voter apathy will sweep through the south and Tinubu will have his way in the south (SW|SE|SS). Only Obi leading the ticket can break Tinubu's hold on the south. Obi as presidential candidate guarantees - SE, SS & 25% of the SW. 2. Tinubu will use his Northern governors structures & money/deals to rig what he needs from the North. ADC has no PDP structures like AA had in 2023. Tinubu needs only 4 zones - the south and NC. Having AA leading the ticket allows Tinubu to negotiate with the younger Northerners who all know that 2031 is the North's turn.

@Eloka51 In the North where it is historical fact that there were was a Coup, one in which Yorubas termed it an Igbo Coup and succeeded in starting a new civil war and North/East beef truly existed, P.O got a reasonable amount of votes, it should say a lot about Yorubas as an ethnic group

@Eloka51 You should say it as it is! Yorubas don’t like Igbos and this clearly indicates that. They see Igbos as sub-humans and beneath their recognition and respect. A true region that embraces ethnic diversity would vote Tinubu but P.O vote would be higher.

Obi has a serious name recognition issue in the SW. I know people like to say Yorubas voted for Obi but I add a caveat “Cosmopolitan Yorubas” voted him. He got 3.7% votes in Ekiti, 3.1% votes in Osun, 9.7% in Ondo, 11.93% in Oyo, 16% in Ogun and 45.81% in Lagos.
In total, he got 21%, Atiku did better with about 23%. Lagos is an outlier and this is because Non-Yorubas account for about 35%-45% of the voting population in Lagos. If we discount this, Obi actually performed poorly in the SW.
We don’t know if Atiku’s performance was due to name recognition or Party Structure. Whatever the case, Obi has a lot of work to do and I see why Atiku supporters keep saying that Atiku will do better than Obi in the SW.
I however believe that BAT will get 65%-75% of the votes in the Saw irrespective of who is up against.
2026 may turnout to be like 1999. But make we dey observe
