Some of our team recently attended the Built to Exit Strategist Bootcamp to deepen our expertise in helping cannabis businesses grow, scale, and build toward freedom beyond the day-to-day grind. We gained valuable tools to better support our clients as they prepare for an eventual exit on their own terms. We’re excited to put this expertise into action!!

If you find discrepancy in Metrc, don’t panic! And definitely don’t start randomly adjusting inventory. First, you’ll want to physically count and verify all of your inventory. Then identify where the discrepancy came from, document your findings, make any necessary adjustments, and create a clear incident report that details everything related to that issue. Regulators want transparency, and that incident report shows you’re taking compliance seriously. But don’t overthink the incident report template. This doesn’t need to be time consuming. A basic template you reuse each time can take just minutes to complete and will go a long way. Follow us for more cannabis compliance tips, and comment METRC for a free strategy call with our team

Every cannabis entrepreneur will exit their business one day. Best case scenario, they sell it or intentionally pass it to their kids. Most owners, however, have involuntary exits - they become ill or die, they get a costly divorce or business partner separation, they go into great amounts of debt or financial difficulty, or they simple burnout. The question isn’t if, it’s how. So will it be on your terms, with a clear strategy and the value you worked so hard to build? Or will circumstances, regulations, or the market decide for you? In a rapidly evolving industry like cannabis, exit planning isn’t optional, it’s essential. Build with the end in mind so you can protect your legacy and maximize the opportunity when the time comes. Comment “Exit Strategy” to set up a free call with our exit strategists today.

🚨 POS says you have inventory… but Metrc says you don’t? That mismatch can trigger serious compliance issues. It usually happens because of: • Missed entries • Sync failures • Incorrect adjustments Before you do anything else: 1️⃣ Pause and physically count your inventory 2️⃣ Reconcile Metrc and your POS step-by-step 3️⃣ Never make an adjustment without understanding why Blind adjustments are one of the biggest audit red flags regulators see. If your systems aren’t matching, it’s time to fix the root issue, not guess. If your Metrc and POS aren’t matching, ComplyCanna can help you reconcile your inventory and stay audit-ready complycanna.com

NJ is redefining hemp, and April 13, 2026 is the date to know if you’re an operator. Seeds capable of producing plants > 0.3% total THC or products exceeding 0.4 mg THC per container will be classified as cannabis, not hemp. Producers may need Class 1 or Class 2 licensing. Class 5 retailers can sell hemp products only if they meet CRC limits. Now is the time to prepare! DM “NJ” for a free 15 min consultation with our team.

Another successful on-site audit in New Jersey today!! We examined every facet of the cultivation and manufacturing operation - from SOP implementation to documentation, facility flow, and compliance controls. Now it's time to deliver a clear, actionable report for ownership. In-person audits remain the most robust and thorough type of inspection. You see what paperwork alone can't show. If you want real operational insight, and not just a checklist review, Comply Canna is here to help. complycanna.com

98% failure in the cannabis industry comes down to business fundamentals. Passion doesn’t replace P&Ls. And “dumb money” doesn’t build sustainable companies. Plant knowledge matters. But business knowledge is survival. The operators winning right now treat cannabis for what it is: A highly regulated retail business. #CannabisBusiness #CannabisIndustry #CannabisOperators

Most cannabis operators aren’t trying to cut corners. They’re busy, growing fast, and juggling a lot. But when inventory can’t be verified, regulators have very little flexibility. That’s why tagging, tracking, storage, waste, and documentation matter just as much as your license. We help cannabis operators avoid these mistakes every day. DM us for a free consult
