It’s time to have a serious conversation about James Franklin.
The good. He helped modernized the Penn state football program and the athletics department.
No he didn’t save Penn state football. The kids that stayed and Bill O’Brien did that.
He won a lot of games at Penn state.
He recruited well. Not great however.
He developed a lot of kids into nfl players.
The bad.
He’s an egomaniac and a narcissist and as such is an extreme micromanager. The failure to win big games stems from these traits. The more big games he lost the harder he tried. The more he tried to control. The worst it got.
James can’t stop talking about Penn state. Getting fired was never in the realm of possibilities for JF. Remember he’s a narcissist they never see it coming. Penn state was his dream job. As a boy he wanted to play at Penn state.
You would think when he took the job at PSU he would’ve embraced the hard nose smash mouth style of football Penn state was known for. Nope he refused to allow a QB to run a QB sneak under center for close to ten years. He was hell bent on doing it James way.
He pissed off donors with his style and treatment of them and the history of the school.
Despite it being his dream job he flirted almost yearly with other jobs.
He argued and chastised fans. Turning a loyal fanbase against him. To this day he has never publicly thanked PSU and the fans. Franklin is a small petty man.
Player misuse. Franklin often stuck with upperclassmen to the detriment of the team. Giving huge NIL payments to “loyal upperclassmen”
He failed at developing talent at WR and massively failed Drew Allar.
Allar never fit the scheme Franklin ran. I honestly don’t understand why he was recruited?
Recruiting. Frankin is a good recruiter. There is a myth that he’s one of the best. Where did this come from. While at PSU Franklin loaded his classes up early. Often achieving a top 5 ranking almost a year before signing day. These classes would almost always land in the teens. He had Penn state in the conversation for tons of elite 5 star players. Being in the conversation is nice but James got told no more than a high school band geek trying to get a date to the prom.
In closing Penn state fans continue to talk about Franklin because he keeps talking about Penn state and Va tech turkeys are trying to rewrite Franklin’s history at Penn state. That history is this.
James Franklin ultimately was a failure at Penn state. 1-18 against top ten big ten teams is a colossal failure and that will be jame’s Franklin’s legacy!!

Darryn Peterson reveals taking a high dosage of creatine led to his cramping issues at Kansas and he was taken to the hospital by ambulance in September because he thought he was going to die, per @ramonashelburne
"I made it to the training room and just started begging them to call 911. They were trying to get a vein to get me the IV, get me back hydrated. But I was cramping so hard they couldn't get a vein. I thought I was going to die on the training table that day."

@ShamsCharania@AdamSchefter Sorry to hear about his passing. Signed an openly heterosexual user on X (sounds ridiculous huh?) Btw not referencing his sexual orientation when announcing his passing is the whole point of equality @ShamsCharania
13-year NBA veteran Jason Collins has died at 47 years old after a battle with Stage 4 glioblastoma. Collins was the first active, openly gay player in NBA history. RIP.
@NBA Cooper Flagg to DC feels inevitable and pairing him with whatever pieces they build around should finally give that fanbase something real to believe in.
This is a very moving and reverent moment in American history. Absolutely no American president has ever loved or read the Bible as much as Trump, so he deserves this
Jesus, himself a great American who literally wrote the Bible, would be honored
@PatMcAfeeShow@RapSheet Sad thing is how many people replying that didn’t see any clips from the trial including her testimony. Basic search on X will show you it was a false claim on her part
"Stefon Diggs and his lawyer maintained his innocence from the beginning..
They firmly believed that the truth would come out and he was found not guilty in court..
He's still very productive and he showed that last year with the Patriots" ~ @RapSheet#PMSLive
