Brazil once owned the rubber that the whole world needed. The tree grew wild in the Amazon and almost nowhere else. Around the year 1900, the Amazon produced about 95% of all the rubber on Earth. The money built a grand opera house in the jungle city of Manaus, where rubber barons were so rich they sent their laundry across the ocean to be washed in Europe. In 1876, an Englishman carried roughly 70,000 rubber seeds out of the Amazon. He labeled them as dried plant samples so they would pass through customs. From London, the seeds were sent on to British colonies in Asia. Within about 35 years, farms in Asia were growing most of the world's rubber. By 1940, Brazil produced only about 1% of it. A native Amazon fungus called leaf blight kills rubber trees when they grow close together. Out in the wild these trees stand far apart, so the fungus cannot jump easily from one to the next. Packed into tight rows on a farm, they get wiped out, and there is still no reliable cure. In the 1920s, Henry Ford tried anyway. He built a whole American town in the jungle, with a hospital and a golf course, just to grow his own rubber. Ford named it Fordlandia, spent about $20 million, and never once set foot in it. Leaf blight ruined his trees, barely any rubber reached his factories, and his company sold the land back to Brazil for $250,000. The world never broke the habit. More than 90% of all natural rubber still comes from Southeast Asia. Nearly all of those trees grew from that same small batch of seeds, so they are almost copies of one another. One disease could wipe out much of the world's supply, and it is the same Amazon leaf blight that never crossed the ocean. The birthplace of rubber now buys it back from the other side of the world.

Final Fantasy 7 Theory: *NOTE* This is all speculation, but worth being talked about. THE GI TRIBE My theory is Jenova had destroyed The Gi's world, absorbed its power and used it has a vessel to crash into Gaia. In doing so, the spirits of the Gi could not go back to their world's Lifestream, so stuck on Gaia, unable to move on. Like the Cetra, the Gi had the ability to put their essences into the Materia through crystalised Lifesteam, so they created the Black Materia which is a failsafe to release their Lifestream like the Cetra's Holy. The Meteor that is summoned from the Black Materia is used to free the Gi tribe, destroy Jenova for good and stopping her from planet hopping again, as it acts like a bomb of pure energy like what Shinra tried to do with the 4 Huge Materia to destroy Meteor. While Sephiroth uses Meteor knowing this, he also kills Aerith so she can return to the Planet and summon Holy to destroy the Meteor then while the planet is left defenseless Sephiroth can absorb the Lifestream to become God. He wasn't planning to destroy the planet with Meteor as he, and Jenova would also die, but to force Aerith and the Cetra's hand, like 4D chess. He was planning to destroy the party before this event, then the use of Geostigma to absorb all the Lifestream energy and become God, however the party prevailing weakened Sephiroth enough to stop it happening and the Planet was allowed to heal.

@capacitor2001 Yeah, that is the fact, however this remake it expands on things and shows that things arent as they seem on the surface, so I am speculating at 4D chess.. Someone else also theorised that potentially that the Gi are Jenova trying to trick the party into using the Black Materia

Nouvel essai de décor pour mon JRPG. J'ai revu l'écriture graphique du sol et j'ai rajouté une musique. Reste les petites animations de décor à produire afin de donner un peu de vie.
