while they can actively use violence themselves. It’s unfair to assume that one side can stay non violent when the others are actively causing violence on it. Anti imperialist regimes will never be utopian, but their existence is needed. 2/3
I think during a war against imperialism it’s important to remember that our indian revolutionaries were deemed terrorists by the british at the time. The only reason west talks only about Gandhi all the time is that he fits their non violence protest narratives. 1/3
