What’s the worst thing that could happen to a video editor I’ll start Earlier this morning around 1:30 am I was working on a SaaS project for one app as a video I want to add to my portfolio, and I was just about designing the first scene , suddenly, my laptop went like a tv that stopped getting signal and I thought maybe 🤔 it’s a normal glitch and I went ahead to long press the power button to force restart my laptop and there it was , my mistake. The screen turned off and when I tried turning it on again , it just kept blinking two amber colour light and four white light at the charger indicator and then it’s started looking very serious , Bro nothing prepares you for “one moment you’re working perfectly well and the next moment you’re trying to turn on you workstation ( it’s not a pretty experience) now just like any other editor who is aware that after effects is a sucker for ram , I thought ohh maybe it’s the ram that has issue , ill call my guy to help me get a new one , little did I know I was being faced with something entirely different and costly . Fast forward to this morning when I took my laptop to the engineer , lo and behold , he did his thing and there I was looking at him and hoping I’d get the same answer just like I thought , but no he said , EGBON , YOUR HARD DRIVE IS ALREADY CORRUPT , me being optimistic , I said hard drive how , I explained and explained again , until he showed me how my hard drive is not picking up on the test laptop , man I don’t even know what to do 😓 All my hard work gone just like that
