@sam_battenally I agree but isn’t it alarming how we haven’t seen any smart contract hacks just infrastructure hacks and key management hacks? I think social engineering has gotten better with AI too.

I'm very confident the increase in exploits is due to ai making it a whole lot easier The attack surfaces are vast, and previously, it would cost many many man-hours to scan for potential targets Now that scanning takes a fraction of the time

Heads up: I was targeted by a pretty convincing crypto/phishing scam posing as a podcast. They said they wanted to talk about Ethereum History. This one was well executed and worth sharing so others don’t fall for it. 👇

The Zensats contracts have been put into Idle mode and withdraw from @aave as of 13 hours ago. Deposits not at risk. The strategist's key was used to do this. Idling is the strategist's only special permission. One key should not control a whole protocol.

@Icebergy I was targeted for spear fishing by this fake podcast recently. was a very elaborate setup asking me to be a guest, sending me a script, reaching out on bug twitter accounts. It all was very convincing until they asked me to download an exe for the podcast. I think it’s similar

A lot of teams think security starts at audit. It actually starts at architecture. Fixing risk early is always cheaper.
