@JordanWallace__ @louorns Not following anyone. I have eyes. How many times does he punch it into a forward/winger/no10 through the lines? Rarely, as it's not his skillset etc. He can't play in a 2 for this Eng side if it is to be successful.

@captclerkgable @louorns Stop being a sheep following what the attention seekers are writing on here. He’s definitely been more conservative in his play since coming back but to say he doesn’t pass forward is ridiculous.

Solely looking at this Mainoo and Anderson is a horrible partnership (one game sample) — Anderson having to sacrifice a lot of his game to compliment the former. Anderson | Rice works so well because they can switch roles seamlessly. This is Anderson having to do most of the work

@jamiepersonaI Lot of v annoyed Utd fans in the replies but it's just true. He would be OK if it was a 3 in midfield, maybe. If we were winning and just wanting to keep the ball. But otherwise teams will just counter us so easily. He cant run. At all.

@JakeM087 @JordanWallace__ @louorns I mean generally, not the goal. And you want your moments players like palmer to try things, others will need to cover for that. KM doesnt offer much at a high level other than ball retention and not sure that is that valuable outside of hanging on to leads in this Eng side.

@captclerkgable @JordanWallace__ @louorns We were wide open on the goal cos palmer lost it Anderson jumped in carelessly and didn’t get the ball and then mainoo was left with him. All 3 jogged back but u don’t hear that. It was 2 on 3 and the back 3 went too deep and should’ve intercepted it

@JakeM087 @DavidHindmarsh7 You'd think he was Keane, Scholes and Carrick mixed together if you listened to certain Utd fans. So he is massively, massively overhyped. He is perfectly fine but thats it, nothing special.

@DavidHindmarsh7 He’s obviously got worse since Amorim happened but at the end of the day he’s 20 and starting every week now for the biggest club in the country. Mainoo thrives with a good playmaker (Bruno) which is why he’s been great for United again. He was good today in a bad bunch

Got absolute pelters on here for suggesting pre-Euros that Mainoo was just another on a long list of players unbelievably overhyped for what they actually are, and two years later, nothing’s changed. Relatively neat & tidy on the ball, absolute nothing else about him at all.

@amadenjoyer21 @H34SSANv2 He's fine. Some Utd fans think he is the 2nd coming. Slightly above average PL player potentially.

@JordanWallace__ @louorns What is he? He can't run so we look wide open on the counter and can't pass forward so offers virtually nothing in possession when we need a goal. Sub you bring on to keep the ball at 75 when you are 2-1 up in a KO game maybe?

@louorns Mainoo had to adapt his game to make up for Anderson. Mainoo isn’t a DM 👍

@trivet1806 Fetish is v much the correct word. A woman blocked me for suggesting that after say 8pm pubs only allowed dogs outside, less they get accidentally hurt by merry people enjoying themselves or people trip on them.

FWIW, I do think people fetishising dogs has become normalised in a way that absolutely would have freaked people out 20 or 30 years ago, but the BBC's framing of it is absolutely not the way to point this out.

Utd play in a self titled "Theatre of Dreams" i.e. all clubs and sections of fanbases are cunts. As proven by the chat around Carragher.
Andy Mitten@AndyMitten

@Carra23 LFC literally had a self-aggrandizing 'This Means More' marketing slogan and fans a flag stating 'Imagine being us'. Anyway, 700+ professional games for a club as scrutinised as Liverpool + winning the European Cup, is anything but average.

Modern football in one tweet. Which is why most people hate modern football. I’ve no issue with anyone else from any other part of the world calling themselves a red, as long as they respect the club, its roots and where it gets its heart and soul from. Liverpool.

Nottingham University threw out murder victim Grace O’Malley Kumar’s most treasured possessions - including England Hockey and Club memorabilia as well as intimate keepsakes from her childhood - which her grieving family planned to give Grace’s closest friends to remember her by.
Professor Lucy Easthope@LucyGoBag

I had missed this and it’s shocked me to the core. It’s been my life’s work that this should never happen. It’s in every university training I do. It’s in the national guidance for Universities on tragedies like this. How the hell did this happen?

@AHewitt973255 @jollyheretic Only personal ones but was fairly common around South London when I lived there. Would say ever more common where I live up north now. Carrying several pints whilst dogs are running round your ankles spoils the drunken fun.

I think there’s an interesting observation here. Not only about weed becoming more powerful, but also about the corporate cultural sanitation that has come from legalising it. The Cheech & Chong, Friday, How High cultural rebelliousness of my youth has somewhat vanished.
Melian Refugee@escapefrommelos

"weed" used to be something smoked furtively with your friends in a park at dusk before going to the movie theatre, an herb handrolled into a shitty spliff now, it's industrially extracted concentrates 1000x more powerful that turns users into zombies
