@HMRCcustomers january 2025 £1289 and i started my new job in march 2025
English

@caraob21x Hi Cara,
I’m sorry if that was the case.
Based on your bank statement for that period, was your final payment from the employer received in January 2024? If so, did you start a new job between February and March 2024?
Thanks,
Martin
English

@HMRCcustomers only my bank statements - i asked for payslips a lot and they never provided
English

@caraob21x Thanks. Do you have any records showing the correct amount you earned? Sofia
English

@HMRCcustomers they unforudidnt provide me with any payslips after asking for months… i eventually left and never got any
English

@caraob21x If you weren’t able to give your employer a P45 when you started, could you please check your August, September, and October payslips and let me know what tax code they used?
Thanks,
Martin
English

@caraob21x I see. Did you give your new employer the P45 from your previous job before starting in August 2024, or did you receive it after you had already begun working for them?
Thanks,
Martin
English

@caraob21x Hi Cara,
Thanks for waiting.
Could you please confirm whether this was your only employment during the 2024/25 tax year? If so, could you also let us know when it began?
Thanks,
Martin
English

@HMRCcustomers thanks for this - i haven’t received any refund in fact my tax code at the moment is lower saying i owe £600 so i think its been calculated wrong
English

@caraob21x Thanks. Usually a minus figure means there has been a refund of tax. If you are due a refund or owed tax from the previous year, we'll automatically recalculate this. We start to send P800 tax calculations from June onwards. Sofia
English

@HMRCcustomers and it wasn’t my only employment i’ve started a new job in march 25
English

@caraob21x Thanks for the details. Could you please confirm whether this has been your only employment since 6 April 2024 during the 2024/25 tax year? If so, could you also let me know which tax code your employer used up until November?
