Domain and therefore Infra are back up!

With Google Domains being bought by Squarespace we're currently moving our Domain to a different registrar. This broke our DNS setup in the process and we're working on fixing it. For now, however, that means all our infra is unreachable though. Sorry for the inconvenience.

The Work In Progress CR11 branch got July Security patches and a little extra. CarbonFonts lives on.

@pakdhe_moer Hey, we currently do not plan to add any additional features to CR9 as all effort is focused on CR11 (A13). CR9 will only receive bugfixes and security patches.

@carbonrom A11 is good, but no applock, will it be add next update?

All infra including Jenkins, Gerrit, the blog and the fonts website are back up. Unfortunately not with our old hoster as they did not manage to get the server back up or provide a replacement in a reasonable time. New server is a huge upgrade though :)

@MSLMGNCKMN We will move straight to 13, however, its yet to be decided if lavender will be moving to 13 or not.

@carbonrom Hi master, Is there Android 12 working soon for CarbonRom to Lavender? Or will it go directly to Android13?

All user-related infra is back up on a backup server. Gerrit and Jenkins remain offline currently as the hoster still didn't respond to our reports. We'll keep you posted.

Update: Hoster is aware of the issues, currently looks like a longer downtime, possibly requires migration to a new server. We'll temporarily bring back our websites on a different server but you'll likely experience issues with CarbonDelta not reaching the server.

Unfortunately there seems to be a Networking issue with out main server. We've contacted our provider about it and will provide updates as soon as we know more. If you need to download something, archive.carbonrom.org is still up. Sorry for the inconveniences.

@JuanPerezMesa The currently supported branches are CR8 and CR9. Those are Android 10 and 11 respectively. We've tried many new things in the A12 (CR10) dev branch, but eventually decided that there will be no A12 release in favour of a quick A13 release with those new changes and improvements.

@carbonrom Love you guys , but still Android 10 ?? When are you building with A-12 ??

@TaffJames7 Could there be some "Battery Safer" Apps or similiar that cause this? Notifications are working fine using the latest builds and with enabled agressive Battery here.

@carbonrom When the screen is off for a while I don't seem to get notifications. When I unlock the phone I get all the notifications. Ive checked all my settings and they appear to be ok. I'll just wait for the next update to see what happens🤣

@carbonrom are there any known issues with notifications when the screen is off on OnePlus 8T after the latest update?

This host servers broken motherboard ended in complete data loss on our VPS, a month of no communication from @NexusBytesLLC and our cancellation of the service. The 1.2TB Backup just finished uploading on a new and shiny @servarica VPS and archive.carbonrom.org is back up!

We're aware of issues with one of our fileservers and are working on resolving them. Latest downloads and other infra should not be affected.

@doubleaaron14 We do not actively circument SafetyNet. Lineage has a nice explanation on why "hacking" SafetyNet is a bad idea, you can find it here: lineageos.org/Safetynet/. You're free to use third party addons to archive a working SafetyNet though.

@carbonrom I really love this rom! One of my favorites but I had to leave sadly because no SafetyNet support. When if possible will you guys gonna be able to add SafetyNet? Thank you guys for the amazing ROM!

@TaffJames7 From our observations, only the Xiaomi Redmi Note 10 Pro (codename sweet) build was affected. A new build has been released an hour ago and all devices should be fine now.

We've identified an issue with the latest sweet Weekly causing it to end up in a bootloop. The build has been taken down and a fixed build will be released ASAP. Sorry for the inconvenience!

@TaffJames7 The Changelog can always be found on carbonrom.org/changelog/, but ideed we didn't release a human informative changelog yet. For both Pax and R we merged the December Security patches, and a few smaller device related changes :)

@carbonrom I've checked telegram & discord but couldn't find any info on the latest changelog for the weekly for the OnePlus 8T. Could someone point me in the right direction?

PSA: Due to changes in the KeyHandler, OnePlus users will need to reconfigure their alert slider Settings after installing todays weeklies. This is a onetime thing and prepares for additional options in the future.
