@cardiio @Heart_BMJ Oh ok, thanks! Although now I'm looking at Figure 1B it looks like your ~186k samples were from ~3k patients; were samples assigned to train:test:validation at patient level, or at recording level?

@DrJHoward @Heart_BMJ thanks for asking. 3 recordings per patient refers to the independent test set of 1013 patients that were a completely different cohort and set aside from the data used for development, i.e. none of the 3 recordings per patient were used in the 300 epochs of training (see fig 1B)

@cardiio @Heart_BMJ One question: you had 3 recordings per patient but paper sounds like you split cases into train:test:validation at the recording-level rather than patient-level. Given you ran for 300 epochs, couldn't the results be influenced by over-fitting within-patients?
