The ambition of @Careexpconf & @OurCareOurSay2 was to give a platform for the unfiltered views of a wide cross section of the care experienced community to be heard. Nobody representing them. Now gov't & the Review owe it to them to listen to their views

A sad thread by @article_39 about the care review & who was invited to the opening. I note a few care experienced individuals (not identified) but not those who campaigned so vigorously for a Review. Why did it take a request from Article 39 to identify who received invitations?

To confirm Neither @Careexpconf or @OurCareOurSay2 made ANY comment or recommendation on who should chair the review. There was no discussion about this appointment on the event days or recommendations on who should chair the review in the reports. @HackneyChild @OYFtheBook

Very disappointed to see the Our Care Our Say report, & most particularly the Conference for Care Experienced People (CareExpConf) reports, cited as somehow favouring a particular Chair for the Care Review. None of these reports commented at all on who should chair a care review
