@Jada_339 @nightcaIIs imo v was never in it to make a difference, v was always in it to become a legend for themselves and (from their perspective) for the people around them. after the whole game is spent seeing just how awful night city is to the people inside it, couldn't they change their mind?

@cargonomics @nightcaIIs Concerning V specifically though, I don't feel like this is the end V wanted. You spend the entire game trying to make a difference, building relationships, going against corporations, only to give up everything that made you able to make a difference in the first place.

@Jada_339 @nightcaIIs i do prefer helping so mi to going tower but i don't think it's a betrayal of v's character, just a different perspective. it's one of the few endings that rejects the premise of night city's culture and suggests that maybe living for yourself instead of your legacy is worthwhile

@nightcaIIs Giving So Mi to the NUSA is such a betrayal of her character, V themselves, and the message of the entire Cyberpunk universe/genre that you an ending where you're a faceless nobody with no friends and no future but people say it's a happy peaceful ending because V gets to live :)
