🥊 Back in 2001 at 15 years of age, Katie Taylor fought in the first officially sanctioned female boxing match in Ireland. What would follow is one of the most storied boxing careers we’ve ever had the pleasure to witness. First in the amateurs, where she won Olympic gold, five World Championships, six European Championships and more. In 2016 she would turn pro, taking the boxing world by storm and playing a huge part in pushing forward the women's side of the sport. She's fought in London, Manchester, Cardiff, New York, Philadelphia, Boston, Leeds, Liverpool and even in @EddieHearn's back garden, picking up every title along the way and becoming undisputed at lightweight. But there's always been one thing missing, a professional fight in Ireland in front of her home fans.
