opencode 1.3.0 will no longer autoload the claude max plugin we did our best to convince anthropic to support developer choice but they sent lawyers it's your right to access services however you wish but it is also their right to block whoever they want we can't maintain an official plugin so it's been removed from github and marked deprecated on npm appreciate our partners at openai, github and gitlab who are going the other direction and supporting developer freedom

Lately, whenever I open this app and see the latest tricks, and hacks, and notes, and workflows, and spec here and skill there, I can't help but think: All of this will be washed away by the models. Every Markdown file that's precious to you right now will be gone.

Spectrum of AI adoption across industries is wild. Friend of mine in transportation consulting had to use workarounds and special permission just to use Copilot in VSCode… which is already months behind current SOTA, and he’s saying “it’s like 100x better”… wild that his org is unwittingly tying his hands behind his back!

seems pretty clear to me that the stdin/stdout interface of all agentic CLIs should be standardized so that people can build infrastructure around them reliably. if you care about the thinking blocks, just make them optional part of the spec?

Who is responsible for all the ridiculous defensive programming that the agents keep slopping into my code? Who hurt you?

Opportunity is everywhere in markets. Your job is to tell your agent where to look.

The only time I think about compaction is when I see people talking about it here (I use Letta Code)

Built a tiny pi.dev extension so I can launch task-specific agents. Each profile is a small YAML file: model, thinking level, system prompt, and allowed skills. Simple, contained, and surprisingly useful! davidgasquez.com/specializing-pi

I've been using this pattern to "specialize" @OpenAI Codex for vaguely defined tasks like classification, filtering, soft sorting, ... Made more than 10,000 invocations so far (reusing my ChatGPT subsciption) and am really happy with the pattern!

i also have permissions turned on (which i don't normally do), but that doesn't always work, because there is very little semantic difference between a destructive cli operation and a non-destructive one most of the time.

pro tip: when working on sensitive infra stuff with an agent, agree to a secret word at the start of the session, and require that secret word for dangerous or otherwise sensitive changes. 'Bananaflakes" just saved my bacon this evening! Worked perfectly with CC.
