@SolickSeeds @MdmCurt If ground is really hard I will tip the blade to the side and rip some of the cut with the corner of the blade on the pass back

@MdmCurt I'm sure glad we got it with serrated cutting edges.. sure helps how it cuts. Just getting on to it, but it can move some dirt that's for sure. We have a scraper as well. It's an old cable that was converted. Sure hard to control the cut with it when it's this hard.

Fck is it dry and hard out. The 580 has it's hands full! First day out with the ditch assist... Definitely need to watch a few more how to videos.. bit of a learning curve

@Jason_hildo @rgstone1 What issues did you have with Claas tracks?

@rgstone1 I’ve had S790 and X9 on tracks for years now. They are smoother and rougher. I like the stability and lack of bounce. You don’t harvest across your seeder rows that’s for sure. Overal they are way more reliable than Claas tracks I had. I plan to keep buying tracks.

Anyone running tracks on x9 combines. Are they nicer than duals for ride and stability? Traction not typically an issue here. Any downsides? #asktwitter #agtwitter #westdcnag

@valleyfield2008 Made a sideways drive for the conveyor, don’t have to move the truck or tractor anymore to fill the cart. Going to make it full remote control for next year so I don’t have to come down from the tank to move it

So top 3 additions to the farm this spring. A couple of game changers. First is our tender unit. So fast so easy especially when u get into a routine on loading. Second was our tiregrabber jack. Safety is a big one. Crush rock for the yard is number 3. Let’s hear your best adds.

@BDuchek I put 7 of these across the front of our 70’, they have worked quite well. Would probably put them a bit lower if I did it again. About $150 between the lights, wiring and remote switch and has 5 years of seeding on them.

Question for the guys who have bought those led light kits for underneath their drill frame. Is it just the cheap led strip light kits basically that are from Amazon or what? #AgTwitter

@cartersproat @DirtOnMyBoots You’re absolutely correct, Cypress colony has a couple PT pumps from dozers with 855cummins they’re parting. Bills Diesel in Winnipeg added that Variable speed gov to the truck pump

8560 Cummins 855, had a 7.6L John Deere, the 855 is 14L. Simple enough swap, the sound alone is worth it

@PDevloo @DirtOnMyBoots Someone told me trucks have a different governor in the injection pump compared to an ag application for an 855, anyone heard of this?

@DirtOnMyBoots That was another engine I’d consider but not as avaliable, got this one from an L9000 ford truck, sold the chassis, basically got the engine for free

Anyone have experience using a diesel heater for an ice shack instead of a wood stove? Shack is 8’x10’

@BDuchek These were on a used set of tracks we bought, can run with some missing until there is a couple missing in one spot

@Plantmore1 Swap lines side to side on the motor, should creep up then if it’s the valve.

AGI service guy I talked to today was good. Dealer also good. Going to try new motor and valve. Hopefully one of those fixes it. Motor i suspect, except new one will be same cheap garbage from China I’m sure.

Augers with extend hopper, anyone have issues with the swing creeping down? Shouldn’t matter what auger the extend are all built the same. What’s the fix ?

This diagnostic kit to troubleshoot Aim Command Flex, Hawkeye and Intellispray makes it so much easier to find and isolate and fix electrical problems on these systems. Being able to isolate and eliminate parts of the boom NCV circuit or tap into connectors to test voltages. @BDuchek @AllamFarmer Yes we do. Picker guy like it for taking off the odd big one that’s out there. Good for pushing off fallen trees as well.

@smarchibald Deere had this in their spring catalogue, it’s the fastest 3” I have seen. Pricey though

Love my 1600gal sprayer… takes forever to fill.. what’s everyone got for a pump to load. Think I need to upgrade.
