this is a great read to understand @Lighter_xyz architecture & their vision. The are many similarities with @extendedapp architecture, vision & roadmap with the main difference being Extended settles on a public zk-chain (Stark) vs Lighter settling on a custom zk appchain. Extended roadmap will deliver the following; - tokenization of vault shares (undergoing audit); deposit USDC in the vault (currently earning 25% APR) & being able to use a % of these as collateral to trade. - unified cross margin (Nov/Dec); as brilliantly explained in this article, being able to deposit non-stablecoin assets (i.e. wBTC, wstETH, USDE etc) & using these as collateral. - integrated native lending & borrowing market (Q1 26); this will allow users to deposit any supported asset & earn additional yield via the integrated lending layer. The lending market will initially be a similar model to @MorphoLabs & further expanded in time. - spot trading (Q1 26); this will create a full-suite trading experience combining spot, perps, integrated under one margin system. - achieving global unified margin, this will allow all applications within the network such as prediction markets, options, vaults, launchpads etc to access liquidity, while from a user's perspective, being able to access all apps under one margin account maximizing capital efficiency. Currently, there are 5+ teams building on top of & integrating Extended - this includes a wallet allowing perps to be directly traded from within the wallet interface.
