This Black History Month, we're celebrating Mae Jemison, the first African American woman to go to space 👩🏾‍🚀 🚀 Jemison served as a mission specialist for STS-47 aboard Endeavour, the very space shuttle that will be on display in our future Samuel Oschin Air and Space Center.

The California Science Center will close to the public at 2:00 pm today, February 5, with a last IMAX screening at 2:30 pm. We expect to resume normal operating hours tomorrow February 6.
