@scfcthomas I have a lot of faith in Widell and am confident that he will live up to the fee. He’s shown a lot of good signs and I hope he gets a run of games from now until the end of the season, would do him the world of good going into next season. Fuck knows with Walta tbh

Has a transfer window ever aged worse than last summer? The only good signing was Ethan Galbraith. £20m+ spent and one quality player to show for it.

@scfcthomas I agree, the £6m is crazy and a very rash decision. As for the £5m on Inoussa, I imagine that being a lot of bonuses if we got promoted etc. They are the only 2 tbh. The other business we’ve done hasn’t been bad at all and I think next year we will benefit more from it than now

@caseyr58 Idah may turn out to be a useful player but I can’t see him ever living up to £6m. Inoussa looked miles off it before his injury imo. Reports of £5m for him… terrifying.

@scfcthomas The only thing I’ve been concerned about is the figure spent on Idah. But he hasn’t really had a chance to prove himself due to injuries and Vipotniks form. Could potentially argue the same for Inoussa, but the fee we paid for him is different wherever you look so who knows 🤷‍♂️

@caseyr58 That’s true, spending money at last is a reason for optimism but as we’ve seen, it doesn’t guarantee success. We should be very sceptical of the decision makers and this recruitment team. They’re massively underperforming and the money spent should put them on the hot seat.

@caseyr58 We had a good home run and a dismal run away from home, but let’s be honest, we didn’t beat anyone we shouldn’t have expected to. Our run under Sheehan last season was more impressive. I’ll be more positive when I feel I can trust the club, but they’ve not earned that yet.

@scfcthomas We’ve been on a really good run and things are looking positive going into full season under Matos. All of a sudden we lose 3-0 to top of the league in a game where all goals are easily avoidable and we’re a bang average side 🤣🤣 A bit of positivity doesn’t hurt.

@caseyr58 Vipi still managed to get 7 goals and look the part at least somewhat regularly, even if he had poor spells last season. I’ve seen nothing from Widell except cardio. Stamenic looks nothing more than a bang average championship player, which in fairness, is about where we’re at.

@scfcthomas So what’s the difference in Vipi and the signings this year 🤣 Widell hasn’t been great but has shown signs. Stamenic has been solid for us. Only one I agree with is Inoussa, but again it’s been hard for him with injuries. Got to give them time

@caseyr58 I didn’t. He showed flashes and the service was non-existent. I banged the drum for him to be the starting 9 all summer, just wanted new wingers. Idah is never a £6m player. Walta might be harsh but the others aren’t. Widell, Stamenic and Inoussa range from average to dogshit.

@scfcthomas Everyone wanted Vipi gone in the summer and he was classed as another bad signing. We’ve let him find his feet and now look at him 🤷‍♂️ Haven’t seen enough of Walta or Idah, but all other signings have showing good signs. Doesn’t come over night 👍
