gotta say smth here as it feels as if you are framing me for being jealous / not happy for others. that is not what it is. it is not about envy or being jealous. it is about a feeling of self-worth. seeing all these PnL cards creates the illusion that everybody is winning but me. many of us tie their feeling of self-worth to the number on the screen and we feel bad when we think we are underperforming compared to everybody else. i am genuinely happy to see my homies win and i am not praying on the downfall of anybody. but i do start to feel bad when it seems everybody is winning but me. i am sure many can relate. especially in a world where 90% of people lie, where people tend to only show their winnings and not their losses, flex PnLs etc.. ofc people end up with a distorted view or get lost in the sauce. that said, me and you we are also living in very different realities and mental landscapes. it is infinitely easier to „feel good about having missed smth because its good for the trenches“ when one collects 6-figures monthly through selling paid groups access and running ref-links. this is a very different setup than running a liquid book in public and having no other income.
