Maple now weighs 54lbs and she is thriving!

Maple is growing up.

The ears have achieved lift-off!

Of course nothing is set in stone yet, and I'm going in to this with my hopes reasonably high but my expectations reasonably low. I just wanted to share with you folks exactly what this next step of our journey entails. ❤️

This means that even if, worst case scenario, Maple doesn't flourish enough for public access in the long term, learning the same tasks Cinder already knows will be absolutely invaluable at home.

I haven't really talked about this publicly yet, and I'm hesitant to jinx myself, but if Maple continues to thrive and show such a promising temperament, we will be starting basic service dog training.

Finally, she visited the women's shelter to say hi to everyone. ☺️

Then she went to the pet store, where she was a VERY good girl (as per usual).

Yesterday, Maple accompanied her foster to work and bravely rode an elevator for the first time.

I signed the contract and paid the adoption fee yesterday. Just six more days to go!

Baby girl on the mend. 💖

Maple is out of surgery and all is well!

She thoroughly enjoyed her first pet store trip.

Little miss Maple weighed in at 13.2lbs today! Only 9 more days until she finally comes home. 🥰
