So I’ve been at war with the NIMBYs in my building who want to get council to reject a proposal for the gym to move into a much bigger area in the commercial part of the building. At one point it got quite heated in our buildings Facebook page and it felt like it was just me in the trenches shooting out logic and reason against the emotional noise. Today Council released the objections. One of the main objections was they were worried having a gym in the building will hurt their property prices 😆 Basically the council responded and said all objections are unfounded and it’s been approved. Yay! 🥳 a win! I look forward to a nice large shiny new gym, and where the existing gym was will become the expanded medical centre. Why anyone would not want a large modern gym and a medical centre in their building is beyond me. To be honest these facilities and their convenience was the reason we bought this place and paid what we did. Someone needs to study the psychology of the Australian NIMBY and what drives them. It would be extremely fascinating.

I’m really liking how in-depth and detailed it is. I will put the exact same research prompt into both and ChatGPT will either outright lie or claim it’s not a lie as I didn’t technically ask it correctly, where as Gemini will understand the nuances and explain things so well and go quite in depth with citations.

I’m now convinced Google Gemini leaves ChatGPT dead. I’ve found ChatGPT has just been getting dumber or giving responses that make no sense or stray in a different direction to the original prompt. Gemini seems to now just get it and detailed.
